Privacy Policy
What this website collects, why, and who can see it. Effective October 3, 2026.
Who we are
Donna's Table is a personal chef and catering service in Mississauga, Ontario. This policy covers donnastable.ca. Questions, access requests and deletion requests go to icontactdonna@gmail.com or 647 542 0180.
What we collect, and why
Booking and inquiry form. Your name, email, phone (optional), the type of service, and any details you choose to add: event date, number of guests, location, package choices, dietary needs or allergies, and your message. We use it to reply to you, quote, and plan your order or event.
Order form (from the menu cart). The same contact details, the items you chose, the order total, and your notes (for example allergies or delivery versus pickup). We use it to confirm and prepare your order. No payment is taken on this website.
Review form. The name you enter, an optional location, an optional event description, your star rating and your review text. Reviews are published on our Testimonials page and may appear elsewhere on the site, so please only share what you are happy to have public. Your email is not asked for.
Technical details with inquiries and orders. When you send an inquiry or order, the site also records your IP address and browser type (user agent) with it. We use this to spot spam and abuse.
Google reviews. If you post a review on our Google Business Profile, Google's review details (your display name, rating, review text, and link) may be copied to our Testimonials page.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used (pages visited, device, approximate location, how visitors arrive). Google Analytics only loads if you press Accept on the cookie banner. It then sets cookies in your browser and sends this usage data to Google. You can change your choice any time from the Cookie Policy page, block cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on. See our Cookie Policy.
Cart. Items you add to the cart are kept only in your browser's session storage on your device. They are cleared when you close the browser tab and are sent to us only if you submit an order.
Admin login. Only Donna's Table staff log in. A login cookie is set for them. Regular visitors do not get one.
Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Who handles your information
- Donna's Table (Donna and the team) reads your submissions.
- Our web host, Namecheap, stores the website, its database and backups.
- Google delivers our inquiry notifications through Gmail, provides Google Analytics and Google Fonts, and hosts our Google Business Profile.
- Makelocal, the agency that built and maintains this site, can access the site and its database for maintenance and support.
- An automation service passes new Google reviews from our Google Business Profile to this website.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Some of these providers store data outside Canada, so it may be subject to the laws of those places.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and orders stay in our website database and in Donna's email for as long as we need them to serve you and keep ordinary business records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Published reviews stay on the site until you ask us to remove them. The site database is backed up every two weeks; we keep the two most recent backups, and older ones are deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent to us using it. Email icontactdonna@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first. If we cannot resolve a concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Safeguards
The site is served over HTTPS, the admin area needs a login, and access to the database is limited. No method of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, so please do not put sensitive details (such as payment card numbers) in forms.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
